Bruce Powell
Winds/Keyboards
Born of a musical household in Burbank, CA, his mother Jean, was a church organist and piano teacher. Bruce went through the Burbank schools involved in musical groups, starting out on flute, then sax and clarinet.
Thereafter, Bruce obtained a B.A. in Music from the College of Fine Arts at UCLA. While at UCLA, Bruce played in several of the wind ensembles, including the jazz ensemble.
Prior to a postgraduate degree in Business at CSUN, Bruce traveled around the world for 2 years with a Christian musical evangelistic team called “Living Sound” as a winds/keyboard player, and musical director.
Since his return, Bruce has pursued music avocationally, primarily in Worship teams at local churches in Santa Clarita. It is there that the association with the other members of SpareTime was begun.
