Scott Hafemeister

Keyboards/Vocals

Born and raised in Granada Hills, CA, Scott started working on his passion for music in 1975 when he began taking organ lessons. “I was enamored with the sound of a Hammond organ.” A fan of progressive rock, but still aspired to be a church organist. “I remember getting chills when the organ played in that big room.”

Scott later started playing with some local “Progressive Rock” bands, performing at some of the local venues, i.e. The Troubadour, Gazzarris, etc. 300 Lb organ and Leslie speaker in tow.

In 1978, he enlisted into the Army and traveled all over the US and South Pacific countries. After serving a six year stint, Scott came back to LA and reunited with some old friends that were, at that time, playing Top 40. He played clubs, weddings and parties with these guys for 13 years.

Then, in 1993, with his new love for worship music, Scott hung up his party shoes to become more acquainted with God. In 1995, he began playing on the worship team of one of the local churches. In a way, finally becoming a church organist. This is where he worked with the other band members and was excited to, “stretch my wings” and move into the Jazz genre.
